An evocative fusion of organic geometry and master craftsmanship, redefining the boundaries of contemporary bespoke marquetry.
Inspired by the rhythmic progression of the logarithmic spiral, Nautilus transcends traditional ornamentation to embrace a minimalist, abstract equilibrium. It is a composition of quiet power, where the natural laws of growth are distilled into a sophisticated geometric dance.
As the eye follows the deliberate expansion of the pattern, the flat surface appears to breathe, undulating in a three-dimensional “dissolving” effect that challenges perception.
The panel is a visual meditation on movement and intentionality, designed to lend a sense of architectural fluidness to the most prestigious interiors.
The main surface of the marquetry pattern displays the characteristic “fiddleback” or ripple figure typical of high-quality Sycamore (specifically European Sycamore, Acer pseudoplatanus), while the light accents that draw the spiral are bleached Sycamore, cut precisely to fit into the background veneer.
The alternation of this two veneers creates a shimmering, silver-grey appearance with wavy vertical grain lines that catch the light.
